Remodeling & Additions

Perhaps you buy an old house in the country. Or a cute bungalow in the city. Or the house you've live in and loved for years has grown tired and needs revitalization. Maybe you want a screened porch, or another room for your office. What's on your wish list? A new master bedroom suite? A better kitchen? A Timberpeg family room addition? It is a rewarding experience to take an existing property with established landscaping and trees and make it your own custom dream house. The team at Smith & Robertson can help you.

To start the process, we meet at your property and listen to your goals and desires. We'll make suggestions and observations pointing out valuable assets to the property, noting areas that need to be addressed. We'll use your existing plans or create new as-built drawings and then offer design options for remodeling ideas based on your needs. We then take the best option to develop into schematic plans for establishing budgets. We refine the drawings and budgets into a contract package for your approval and then start work. Our goal for a remodeling project is the same as for a new house:

"To provide a satisfying, rewarding and fun building experience. We want our clients to enjoy the process, love their new home, and appreciate their building team. We'll do whatever it takes to achieve that goal." - Glenn Robertson

A recent project we completed in Earlysville was featured in ABODE with a very nice story about the family and how they decided to remodel her childhood home rather than tear it down and build new. The family is thrilled with the transformation and it was a very satisfying project for Smith & Robertson.

The whole process was exhilarating. What we experience now, in our new home, is the satisfaction of successful construction and successful relationships.
